Haven't been here for many years, what a pleasant surprise. Very good food and service.

I came in last week, and had a great experience. The onion soup was delicious, and my server (I think her name was Alexus) was an absolute delight. Very good at her job, friendly, extremely fast service. overall an enjoyable dinner.

Food was okey but price was high and the server was rude, we gave her tip and she gave it back to us and said the amount of tip was not “a tip”. Bad experience

North Vancouver's best hidden gem for sure! The customer service was top notch and they had a large variety of seafood dishes. (Which I love.) I decided on the grilled seafood salad with the cucumber yogurt dressing. Will definitely go back for it! And to top it off, they have a gorgeous patio over looking the inlet.

Great food. Prices too high. Terrible service, just snotty little brat type servers. Eventually the manager took over and reversed my experience in that end. Food was great but my photo is a $30 plate. Should be $16 max for this.

Great setting. Good food. Had steak and kidney pie. Filling was very good. Nice chunks of beef in a savoury broth with just the right amount of salt for me. The top was a bit disappointing as it was thin and doughy but overall a good meal. I would order it again. The price point was good...around $17.

Great food at a reasonable price with an awesome view. One of our fave spots for dinner whether it's with family or friends.

I love this restaurant!! I am a vegetarian and am always able to find a veggie option. The Moroccan stew is my favorite. The service has been excellent every time I have been there ( which is many). The Cheshire has one of the best views in the city from their patio. I'll be back soon!!

Food was good, and they were very accommodating for our large group (close to 20 people) on short notice. Our waitress was very good natured and did a great job dealing with such a large party.

Overpriced microwaved food. Service was really friendly, but my goodness was the food disappointing (and some of it gross). Lots of seating, nice window seating next to the water. We went here on recommendation for a good British menu, and it's the tiniest part of their very general menu. Would definitely not recommend. Much better places on the quay.

This place is huge, lots of seating inside or out. I love their ocean view patio. Even inside you can get a window seat with drool worthy views of the ocean , shipyards and Vancity across the water . The service is good and lots of pages to their menu. They need to step up gluten free options ...an easy fix to have gluten free bread and buns but after years of going here they dont seem to care to do this for a huge segment of the population . I go back and eat the same thing over and over as gluten free is not an option . A burger is not a burger ...without a bun Great place but need to step that up . They took away a favorite ...poutine ...ugh so sad .

No cheese? Thought this would be a cool cheese place ended up being a mediocre restaurant. Ordered a burger and fries and it had no flavor. Un impressive for what everything cost. Bangers and mash were as you would expect. However the thai chicken bites were top tier. Flavorful. Not breaded. So so so good.

Went in and sign said to seat yourself. It was a Tuesday evening, about 30-40 mins before closing. Trying to be considerate, I looked around for a table that would avoid bumping my chair into another, and I wanted to sit by the window. There was no line up and there was barely anyone left in the market that would come into this place. After I sat down, took off my coat, server was about 4-5 feet behind me and asked how many. I said for one. She proceeded to loudly and rudely demand that I go find another table. Almost argumentative. Poor service as she should have come to my table instead of yelling behind me within clear earshot of other customers! Needless to say I did not stay. I've never been demeaned before in my life. Do not recommend this place at all.

Good view and good customer service

One of our most favorite eateries in North Vancouver. Really really great English food. Great beer. We often go just for a plate of proper English chips. Eat outside and enjoy the view.

Server took a while to get our drinks and it was not busy at all. My friend asked for the fries with his meal and got a salad. The food was really good though! I got the salmon and tasted really fresh. Great view if you sit outside.

Very warm, pleasant place for my husband and myself to enjoy our Sunday dinner! Staff was all very friendly and our waitress Jemma took very good care of us and ensured our visit was to our satisfaction. We will be returning.

Great food, great location. The wait staff was kind of scattered and disorganized but the service was great.

The Cheshire Cheese has friendly staff, a various menu that caters to everyone, amazing views, and a cozy atmosphere. Christmas decorations are up as well! Would definitely recommend.

I returned just for the dessert but the seafood Cioppino was good as well. They even spiced it up a bit for me! The ginger dessert is amazing of course!

Cute pub/ restaurant in the Quay. Good food and nice staff. They had live music tonight. They were talented and good volume.The Fisherman's pie and Steak and kidney pie will have us back many times.

Yesterday was not our day. We went for dinner with friends , all started nicely, great and with a very professional waitress , delicious dirty martinis , but when food came to table , our prime ribs , two of us asked the same dish, the beef was , we believe, not in good condition due to the strange flavour. We informed and waitress said chef or manager were able to come to talk to us, but unfortunately they did not appear. They did not support the waitress. Fortunately they did not charge us for these two dishes. I guess they lost 4 regular customers

Lovely service. Great food at reasonable prices. Beautiful view of the harbour. What else can you ask for!?

What a great place! I can’t believe we didn’t know about this place sooner. My husband had the prime rib, I had an appetizer and salad. Loved the food....tasty, fresh, great value. And what a cute restaurant. It was cozy and warm, with some very friendly servers running around making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Yay! We were here in the winter but I understand they have a great patio on the water for summer months. What a great find. We’ll be back! Me for the trifle (apparently, one of the only places who has it?), and my husband for the happy hour ($4 drinks!).

We stumbled across this place during dine out vancouver - had never heard of it before! The food was amazing, we had a crab dip appetizer, the fisherman's pie and Moroccan stew, and trifle and apple crumble for dessert. Really good value for money and very fast service. Neat ambiance too. The only downside was that we waited quite a while to pay and eventually went up to the bar (the restaurant had gotten quite busy). All in all a great experience though and we will definitely be back.
